[ out of howls. ] Thank you very much !! And I don’t blame you AT ALL lmao. There are so many different scenes with different landscapes —- thus justifying the contrast and saturation of light in each frame. For a while, I couldn’t tell Brady and Embry apart, and Collin and Quil. All of them have pretty distinct features, though. In some lighting, Seth and Jacob look a lot alike. I’ve seen edits showcasing the Renesmee x Jacob ship ; but they used Seth’s wolf in a picture set instead of Jacob’s. So it’s okay to get messed up and a bit confused.
Seth is said to be more reminiscent of a Mexican wolf than anything else. He has sort of a brindled pattern, but the same general color scheme as Jacob. His fur is a little more on the beige side, but he and Jacob both share the same golden / russet eyes. His pattern is kind of like a German Shepherd, the back ridge and then the tapered feather look that eventually becomes more white or brown on his under belly and chest.
Jacob has a similar pattern to Seth, but he is significantly larger than Seth, and his face is a little broader. He has bigger eyes, too. The only differences in color scheme are the more reddish tint Jacob has in the sun, and the idea that he doesn’t have any ‘brindled’ patterns, no blacks or greys. It’s a more reddish brown, and a more yellow brown.
Leah’s extremely easy to spot or to point out. She’s the only wolf with blue eyes —- she’s also the only white wolf. She has a bit of brown to her, mirroring Seth’s pattern, accumulating a bit of pigment at the tip of her tail, her feet, ears, and eyes. For the most part she’s white.
Sam is pretty characteristic himself. He is the largest wolf in the pack by far. He’s also identified by his entirely black coat, and his auburn eyes. They’re almost reddish. I don’t think anybody can mix up Sam, with anyone else.
Here is where it gets fairly confusing. For the longest time, I mixed up Brady and Paul. Their color schemes are nearly identical — the only differences in somatic appearances between them, are the shades of hue and the size of their bodies. Paul is bigger than Brady, and Brady’s fur is a little more brown on his face — his muzzle more white.
Paul—again—bigger than Brady, is more grey than white around the snout. And the rest of his body is more greyish and blue as well. Also notice Paul’s grey eyes, whereas Brady’s are a little more on the golden/brown side.
Jared is all sorts of shades; his body is mostly brown. He’s lighter on his jaw and underbelly, sort of golden brown. Like a Rottweiler or a Doberman, he has those ’ dimple ’ like features on his brow bones, lighter brown patches where his eyebrows would be. Bright gold eyes, too. Almost yellow.
Collin looks almost exactly like Jared, but — he doesn’t posses those trademark patches above his eyes. He also is much darker, even though the general pattern of color on his fur resembles Jared’s pretty closely.
Quil is all brown, too. Repetitive, it seems—but his eyes are brown as opposed to the pale golden color. That’s how I differentiate the three.
And then there’s Embry —- whom of which, I refer to as a ’ reverse raccoon ’. He has almost a mask type pattern on his face, which is white instead of black. Hence, my affectionately acclaimed ’ reverse raccoon. ’ If you get confused with the grey wolves, Embry is almost never standing by Paul or Brady — 9/10 he’ll be beside Quil.
